the Vivekanand Dwar

A Gateway to Legacy, Built with Pride by Srigar Infra

Vivekanand Dwar, located at the entry point of Almora town, is more than just a welcoming structure—it’s a symbol of spiritual inspiration, cultural pride, and architectural grace. Named after Swami Vivekananda, the revered spiritual leader and philosopher, the gateway commemorates his historic visit to Almora in the late 19th century.

the Story

Historical Significance

Swami Vivekananda visited Almora in 1897, seeking peace, wisdom, and spiritual retreat in the serene hills of Kumaon. His time here left a deep cultural and philosophical impact on the town and its people. The Vivekanand Dwar (literally “Vivekananda Gate”) stands as a monumental tribute to his presence and teachings, welcoming visitors with the message of harmony, strength, and enlightenment.

A Proud Landmark

Srigar Infra was honoured to be chosen for the construction and enhancement of the Vivekanand Dwar—a task that demanded not just technical precision, but also a deep sense of cultural responsibility.
